Poppy and Danny

Poppy and Danny
These are our two twin goat kids, Poppy and Danny. They are two and 1/2 months old and I think they are half sannan. They are really cute and love playing! Sometimes they just start to headbutt each other. Goats headbutt but each other by rearing up onto their hind legs and crashing down onto their opponents, where as sheep and cows just ram straight into each other. One day when Pop is older we might let her have kids.

Goats make great pets and you don't need to have lots of land for them - some people just keep them in stables and give them hard feed and hay!

Netherland dwarf bunnys

Rabbits are some of the 10 most popular pets in the world. And here is just one of the many breeds- the Nether land dwarf.

Nether land dwarfs are amongst the most popular types of bunny's....... and its no surprise! Being the smallest in the bunny king dome they are much easier than their bigger cousins, such as the Standard Rex rabbit, to hold, making them better pts for smaller children. They should also have small furry ears, big cute eyes, and more often then not have allot of personality! The first photo is of OUR dwarf bunny, Peter. The second photo is of two little kits. :3

On a roll!

Fudge before take of
Today one of our mice went on an adventure, in a ball!

Me and Abbi brought a big bulk lot of mouse toys on Trade me for only ten dollars and there happened to be a big yellow ball in it specially designed for mice, hamster's, gerbil's, etc. So on the the day we got them (they where in the north island so we had to get them sent here) we tried it out. First we put Mia's mouse, fudge in it and she loved it! At first she only took a couple of steps at a time but pretty soon she was racing around in it and hitting the walls and every thing because she can't steer very well. After she had a go we put Blossom in, who is Anika's mouse. she didn't go quite as fast did but she was really funny to, we even put her and Fudge in at the same time! Last of all we put me and Abbi's mice in. Their names are Mini and Squeak. as they are the oldest of our mice they were pretty slow but that was just their first go, i bet they could go way faster if they wanted to!!! It is really cool watching them run around the house in the ball. In the lot of toys we got for them there were also lots of habitrail tunnels that we have connected to our other two cages to make it even better!

Mousey palace!

This year for my birthday I decided not to spend my birthday money on toys or anything, but on a new mouse kingdom!
The cage they used to live in was a bit too small for four mice so of we went to the pet shop on a cage seeking adventure!
I had a choice of a cage that was smaller then the one we had at home (if I bought that one I would have had some money left over) or a slightly bigger one that was the same size, OR a ginormouse cage that you could attach tunnels to. And naturally, I chose the huge one! The mice are having a ball in it and seem to really enjoy going in their new wheel as well!

In the second photo they are in their 'room' trying to get some sleep after all that cardbord chewing!

Miniature horses

In hand showing

The miniature horse comes in all colours found in horses and are some of the most cute equines ever! There are category A horses which must be no higher then 86.3 cm high at the withers and category B horses that must be at least 86.3cm but no higher then 96.5 cm. Mini's are used for heaps of things inclueding driving (where they pull a little mini sized buggy), in hand showing, breeding (of cource), pets, and even guide horses!!! The fancy (and expensive) show mini's have to be as close in looks to big horses as possible and the smaller the better! They are also judged on temperment and conformation  . They are normally to small to ridden but very small children sometimes can. And amazeingly, you can keep them on 1/4 acer of grazeing!
